Fiberfrax®
Coatings and Mixes
Fiberfrax® Mastics are insulation materials composed of Fiberfrax refractory ceramic fibres dispersed in high-temperature binders, which upon drying produce a strong insulating structure with low thermal conductivity.
Fiberfrax® Castables are insulation materials composed of Fiberfrax refractory ceramic fibres blended with hydraulic setting binders.
Fiberfrax® Coating Cements provide a range of consistencies for brush, spray and trowel-based applications.
Fiberfrax® Specialties range of products includes Fiberfrax mouldables, pumpables, caulks, coating cements, rigidisers, tamping mix and Moist-Pack blanket. Many of these products contain a wet, inorganic binder to provide both strength and hardness at elevated temperatures.
Fiberfrax® LDS and LDS-AL mouldables consist of Fiberfrax ceramic fibres dispersed in a sticky, water-based refractory binder. These materials have a putty-like consistency, which permits application by caulking, trowelling or hand forming.
Fiberfrax® Mouldable Mastics consist of Fiberfrax ceramic fibres dispersed in a sticky, water-based refractory binder. These materials have a putty-like consistency, which permits application by caulking, trowelling or hand forming.
Fibermax®
Fiberfrax® Pumpable 140 mastic contains refractory ceramic fibres dispersed in high temperature binders. This material has a putty-like consistency, which permits application by caulking, pumping and trowelling.
Fiberfrax® Pumpable-GS Insulating Mix was designed for applications in difficult-to-reach areas requiring insulation.
Fiberfrax® Pumpable-LDS Insulating Mix was designed for applications in difficult-to-reach areas requiring insulation.
Fiberfrax® QF-150™ coating cements provide a range of consistencies for brush, spray and trowel-on applications.
Fiberfrax® QF-180™ Blue coating cements provide a range of consistencies for brush, spray and trowel-on applications.
Fiberfrax® Silplate® Mass 1500 is a hot-face coating material for use over ceramic fibre modules, castables and refractory bricks.
Coatings and Mixes, Furnace Lining Products
Fiberfrax® Topcoat™ 2600 Insulating Mix was designed for applications in difficult-to-reach areas requiring insulation. Fiberfrax Topcoat 2600 Insulating Mix has a temperature rating of 1426 °C.
Fiberfrax® Topcoat™ 3000 has a temperature rating of 1538 °C. Topcoat 3000 consists of a blend of regular ceramic fibres and high-temperature Fibermax® polycrystalline fibres combined with an inorganic binder system.
Fiberfrax® Topcoat™ M coating cement provides a range of consistencies for brush, spray and trowel-based applications.
Fiberfrax® Vari-Form™ castable materials provide casting mixes that can be applied in small areas such as furnace access and site doors, tube sheets, and as a refractory backup.
Fiberstick™ Refractory Cement is a high-temperature, air-setting mortar used as an adhesive to securely bond Fiberfrax Bonded modules and other product forms to refractory surfaces.
Fixwool® Adhesives are typically non-fibre based products developed for use with many Unifrax fibre insulation products.
Fixwool® Coatings are specially developed for use with many Unifrax fibre insulation products. Fixwool Coating M and 145 protect the hot face of fibre linings against gas velocity, flame impingement and shrinkage.
Isofrax®
Flexilite-MC® Cement has been developed as part of the Flexilite-MC System for the insulation of the upper section of ingot moulds used for the casting of steel.
Insulfrax®
Insulfrax® Mastics are insulation materials composed of Insulfrax alkaline earth silicate wool dispersed in high-temperature binders, which upon drying produce a strong insulating structure with low thermal conductivity.
Isofrax® cements and mixes are fibre-based products available in many forms such as mastics, adhesives and coatings cements.
Isofrax® Thermal Insulation provides high-temperature stability, low thermal conductivity, low heat storage, and thermal shock resistance in a variety of product forms such as bulk and chopped fibres, needled blankets, Prismo-Bloc and Anchor-Loc modules, felts, papers, boards, vacuum-formed shapes, mouldables and pumpables.
Rigidizer® and Rigidizer® W are inorganic liquid hardeners with a temperature rating of 1260 °C.
Silplate® Mass S Coating combines LBP fibres, refractory oxides and polycrystalline wool fibres with an inorganic binder system to create a wet mix.
