Fiberfrax^® Bulk and Chopped Fibres

Fiberfrax^® Bulk & Chopped Fibres are manufactured from high-purity alumina-silica materials for use in applications up to 1260 °C. These products are manufactured in computer-controlled, state-of-the-art furnaces to provide customers with consistent fibre properties. Fiberfrax^® Bulk and Chopped Fibres can also be chopped into several grades (coarse, medium and fine) to provide customers with a fibre ideally suited to their application.

• Stable at high temperatures
• Low thermal conductivity
• Low heat storage
• Excellent thermal shock resistance
• Lightweight

Fiberfrax fibres are available in a variety of chemical compositions and diameters for use in a wide variety of applications. In addition, these fibres can be further modified by chopping or by removing the unfiberised particles (known as “shot”). Lubricants can also be added to the fibres to enhance their properties.
