Unifrax now holds Navy approvals for fire rated divisions.

FyreWrap^® Marine Blankets provide lightweight solutions for a wide range of fire rated divisions in the shipbuilding industry. We now hold various approvals for steel, aluminium and FRP composite bulkheads and decks, designed for protecting naval vessels against spread of fire.

Having recently gained both Bundeswehr (Germany Navy) and Ministry of Defense (Royal Navy) approval for our lightweight FyreWrap^® LT products, Unifrax have also undertaken test programs, gaining both FRP Composite approvals for Patrol Boat applications and US Navy N30 approvals meeting both shock and fire performance requirements.

Tested to international fire codes and subjected to the most demanding conditions, our FyreWrap^® LT fire divisions provide some of the lightest and thinnest systems available today, without compromising on performance.

Minimizing weight of the structure, not only gives improved efficiency and reduced fuel consumption – leading to lower emissions, but will also lead to faster and more maneuverable vessels in the case of fast craft or military ships.
