As COVID-19 continues to cause disruption and uncertainty in our daily lives and business, supporting our customers is a key priority. Our global teams are hard at work to avoid manufacturing disruptions from the COVID-19 virus, while at the same time acting responsibly to do what we can to prevent further spread.
We continue to closely monitor and assess the evolving situation and will be diligent about communicating with affected customers regarding product shipment timing or other issues resulting from this situation. We ask our customers and distributor partners in return, to inform us immediately of any disruption to your business or inventory requirements.
Our Employees
Unifrax is committed to providing a safe environment for our employees, their families and the communities in which we operate. We have asked our over 4,000+ employees globally to work at home where possible to reduce transmission risks and to keep them safe. Unifrax has restricted all international business travel by air and rail, and local customer-facing travel by car. This is to reduce transmission risks and adhere to the various global government-imposed restrictions and quarantines. Our Human Resources, IT, Communications, Health, Safety and Environmental Quality (HSEQ) and Site Manufacturing teams have been working around the clock to set up guidance, processes and support for our employees globally including work-from-home guidelines, flexible work schedules around childcare, and increased safety measures for essential on-site employees continuing to work at a plant or office.
Our Sites
Unifrax has 37 manufacturing locations globally. We have taken many additional precautions to protect our essential manufacturing site employees. This includes increased cleaning and disinfection, screening and restricted access for visitors/delivery drivers etc., and the availability of personal protective equipment. Group meetings have been eliminated and site-to-site visits by employees are limited to perform critical operations only. We have comprehensive emergency response plans to temporarily close part or all of a site to perform deep cleaning in the event an employee is considered a risk, shows symptoms or tests positive for COVID-19. At all of our manufacturing sites, we are reducing shifts where possible to minimize transmission risks while managing customer demand for products.
Our Products and Services
Our teams are hard at work to minimize the risk of potential disruption. Unifrax Manufacturing Taskforces have been set up to manage individual site supply-chain disruptions and logistics/distribution.
Our Customers and Distributors
Please notify your sales representative or customer service representative of any potential disruptions to your business. It is vital to our manufacturing operations to understand the needs of our customers and have the ability to react to any changes in your business processes or product requirements.
